Pear Cider for the Sweet Tooth in You!

Updated: Feb 19, 2022

This recipe is from an IC Safe Cookbook!

"I hate pear juice cold, but warm it with spices and it tastes quite delicious! This is a recipe for a sweeter tasting cider, perfect for dessert or a morning treat." You can omit anything that you have a sensitivity!

Ingredient

For a single mug of pear cider:

1 mug worth of pear juice (RW Knudsen®)

1/2 tbsp cinnamon

1/2 tbsp ginger

1/2 tbsp allspice

dash of nutmeg

1-2 tbsp white sugar*

Direction

If you like more flavor you can add a little more of each ingredient. Pour the pear juice into a saucepan and heat it to a little less than boiling. Add in the cinnamon, ginger, allspice, and nutmeg and stir. When the beverage is nice and hot stir in the white sugar until it dissolves. I do not dilute the pear juice and it does not bother my IC however the kind I buy is already diluted with water.

"I buy pear juice with no sugar added and it needs an extra bit when I make the cider, but if you buy one with extra sugar or one that is less diluted you may not need this."
