The holiday season is upon us!

As someone who spent way too many years navigating interstitial cystitis, OAB, and every confusing bladder label in between, I know the awkward pause that happens when someone asks, “So... what do you want for Christmas?”

Cue the internal panic:“Do I say heating pad? Low-acid tea? A bladder-friendly snack that doesn’t taste like cardboard?” Or worse—they go rogue and gift you a bath bomb, citrus candle, or God forbid... a kombucha sampler. 🙃

Look, we’re always grateful for the gesture. But also? You deserve gifts you can actually use and enjoy—without setting off your symptoms. So whether you’re dropping hints to your partner, making your own wishlist, or buying for a fellow bladder warrior, this guide is full of practical and comforting gifts for people with bladder issues.

Gift Ideas for The Bladder Issue Warriors

In this Holiday Gift Guide, you’ll find 45 thoughtful, comfort-forward gift ideas for anyone dealing with bladder symptoms. Whether it’s IC, OAB, chronic UTIs, pelvic floor drama, or a whole cocktail of “what even is this,” I’ve got you.

I’m sharing options for flare-management tools, cozy comfort items, bladder-friendly snacks and drinks, books, gift cards, and more.

Whether you’re buying for yourself or subtly forwarding this to your family group chat (highly recommended), this guide’s got you covered.

And hey, if you're just looking for an excuse to treat yourself? I fully support that. Bladder issues are hard enough... you deserve something that brings a little ease, comfort, or joy to your day.

41 Gift Ideas For Bladder Issues Like Interstitial Cystitis, Overactive Bladder, and Chronic UTI's

Ready to check out my favorite gifts for bladder issues? Let's dive in!

  1. This journal to track symptoms

Seaside view with lush greenery, blue ocean, and misty mountains. Text: My Interstitial Cystitis Journal. Floral illustration at bottom right.

I created this journal for interstitial cystitis to give people the ability to track as much as possible so it's easier to pinpoint patterns in your symptoms and find their triggers. With this journal, you can track your water intake, food intake, pain levels, stress levels, physical activity, and urine output. It also includes sections for appointments, to-dos, and weekly goals. Gift this journal to the IC/OAB Warrior in your life who needs help finding their triggers and feel empowered on their journey to relief!

Get it from Amazon for $10

  2. These hydration packets

Electrolyte drink mix packaging with "enact" logo. Purple-pink gradient, details on potassium, sodium, magnesium. Text about hydration.

These Enact Hydration packets were originally formulated for POTS by a cardiologist local to me, but I often recommend them when people ask what hydration powder to use. Each flavorless packet (they actually taste like nothing) provides 600mg sodium, 100mg potassium, and 30mg magnesium—the essentials for circulation, energy, and muscle function. They’re also a great option for people with bladder sensitivity since they contain minimal ingredients compared to other brands like Liquid IV. With no artificial sweeteners, stevia, dyes, or fillers, it’s a simple, doctor-formulated option you can sip daily without worry. Full ingredients: sodium citrate, sugar, potassium citrate, magnesium citrate, and salt.

Grab a bag from Enact Hydration's website for $24 for a pack of 12. Use code "CALLIEK" at checkout for 20% off!

  3. The Pain Reprocessing Therapy Workbook

Book cover of "The Pain Reprocessing Therapy Workbook" with a wavy abstract design. Focuses on neuroplasticity and chronic pain relief.

This workbook has completely changed my life (no, I'm not being dramatic) and has changed the lives of dozens of my clients. It even prompted me to get trained in Pain Reprocessing Therapy. If you have bladder symptoms (or other chronic issues like IBS, migraines, fibromyalgia, etc), your nervous system is likely dysregulated. The good news is that you can rewire your brain and teach it safety! You can listen to this podcast episode that I did with the authors of the book to learn more about nervous system dysregulation and how it can help you get relief from interstitial cystitis and OAB.

Buy it from Amazon for $25.95.

  4. A Kindle/Ipad/phone stand

Tablet on a gray stand with pink cushion base holds chips and banana. Bright tablet screen displays apps. Background shows another stand.

This stand can hold your Kindle, Ipad, or phone while you lay on the couch or in bed. Perfect for flare or rest days!

Here's a review from someone who bought it: "Perfect for holding my kindle while laying on the couch. The middle is good for keeping my snacks within reach without risk of them spilling. The middle insert can come apart to where you can wash it!"

Get it on Amazon for $29.99.

  5. The Way Out

Book cover titled "The Way Out" by Alan Gordon, LCSW, with Alon Ziv. Features colorful circular dots and focuses on healing chronic pain.

This book was written by Alan Gordon, is another really good resource for someone starting out on their nervous system regulation journey. It's also available on Audiobook so you can listen in the car or while on a walk!

Here's a description of the book: "Alan Gordon, a psychotherapist and the founder of the Pain Psychology Center in Los Angeles, was in grad school when he started experiencing chronic pain and it completely derailed his life. He saw multiple doctors and received many diagnoses, but none of the medical treatments helped. Frustrated with conventional pain management, he developed Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT), a mind-body protocol that eliminated his own chronic pain and has transformed the lives of thousands of his patients."

Buy it off Amazon for $27 or the audiobook version for $13.50.

  6. Comfy sweatpants (Go Birds)

Gray sweatpants with a green football helmet and "EAGLES" text on the side. Set against a plain white background.

A pair of comfy sweatpants is a MUST-have for literally anyone (whether you have a chronic illness or not). I have lived in these Abercrombie & Fitch Eagles sweatpants for the past month and I don't plan on taking them off. They have a variety of NFL teams so if the Birds aren't your cup of tea, see if they have pants for your favorite team!

They are normally $90 at A&F but keep your eye out for a Black Friday sale. If this is out of your price range (I get it, it's just a pair of pants), here's a similar, more affordable option from Amazon for $19.99.

  7. These comfy undies

Person wearing black high-waisted underwear, hand resting on hip. Plain white background.

Let's talk underwear! These seam-free underwear from Jockey are my go-to's because they're so dang comfy! Get a pair for $12.50 on Amazon or check Jockey's website to see if they have any Black Friday deals.

Another brand I love is Huha because they make mineral undies. From their website: "Huha underwear are made with smartcel™ fibers permanently embedded with zinc oxide to reduce discomfort, soothe the skin, and prevent bacteria and odor within the fibers, increasing the performance of the garment.." Try a pair for $24.

  8. These CBD relief melts

Box labeled "FORIA Relief" with CBD, containing 8 white suppositories. Box has a gradient color. Shadowed white background.

These Relief Melts with CBD (not to be confused with the Intimacy melts) by Foria are great for someone with a tight pelvic floor. I use them when I can feel my muscles tensing!

Per the Foria website, "Each Melt is made with 100mg of organic broad-spectrum CBD and can be used vaginally for vaginal cramps or anally for butt cramps, depending on where you need it most. Every pack includes 8 small, easy-to-insert melts designed to target period and pelvic floor discomfort."

Buy them on Foria's online shop for $40 and use code CALLIEK20 for 20% off your order (the discount should automatically apply if you click the link above).

  9. Some personal lubricant

Hand holding a frosted bottle with a blue cap against a white background. The bottle has text starting with "LOL" visible near the base.

If your loved one with IC or OAB uses a pelvic wand (a tool to help with the pelvic floor muscles), they may need some lubricant for when they use it. I discovered the brand Lola this year and it's my go-to lubricant now!

Buy it from Lola's website for $16.

Other options I like for lube include Aloe Glide (link gets you 10% off) by Desert Harvest and Slippery Stuff.

  10. A reusable water bottle

Black Owala water bottle with a flip-top lid, standing upright against a plain white background. Simple and sleek design.

Help the IC Warrior in your life meet their fluid goals with a nice reusable water bottle! My personal favorites are this one from Owala ($29.99) and this 40 oz Stanley water bottle because they both hold a good amount of water and have a straw!

If you're looking for a more affordable reusable water bottle, here's one for $16.99.

  11. A Comfy Pajama Set

Woman smiling in gingerbread-patterned pajamas with a light background, exuding a cheerful mood.

Like this one, from Aerie. Look at the cute lil' gingerbread men!! Imagine drinking your favorite hot beverage by the fire wearing these👀

Here's a link to buy the top and here's a link to buy the bottoms.

If you want a more affordable set, check out this pajama set that my one client raves about ($36.99).

  12. Goodwipes - the holy grail for your tush

Three teal and yellow packs of Good Wipes Shea Coco flushable wipes with bold text, displayed against a neutral background.

For the lucky ones with bladder issues AND gut issues (one of us!!!), these wipes from Goodwipes have quite literally saved my ass on so many occasions. If you have sensitive skin, I'd suggest trying to shea cocoa scent!

Get a 3 pack of XL wipes for $15.99 here.

  13. Super-Strength Aloe Vera

Desert Harvest Aloe Vera capsule bottle with green label reading "Potent. Powerful. Pure." on dark background. 180 Vegi-Capsules.

Listen, I don't care what people have told you about other brands that sell aloe vera. Desert Harvest is THE BEST and most reputable aloe vera brand on the market. They sell Super Strength Aloe Vera that has helped many IC Warriors get relief from their symptoms.

From their site: "Desert Harvest Super-Strength Aloe Vera Capsules contain the highest freeze-dried concentration of organically grown Aloe Vera. We use no pesticides, herbicides, or fillers. Our patented process removes all water, insoluble fiber, and anthraquinones (laxatives including aloin) and retains the pure, potent nutrients; amino acids, mucopolysaccharides, vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, and enzymes."

  15. Herbal tea

Pink Frida Mom Upside Down Peri Bottle next to white bag and box with text. Illustration of bottle spritzing water on box.

Yes, this is a product that is typically used after a woman gives birth, but it can also help with bladder burning! A peri bottle can come in handy when in a bladder flare that causes burning. Sit on the toilet and squeeze some cold water down there with a peri bottle like this one ($13.99) for some relief! This is also great for someone struggling with vulvodynia.

  19. Mind Your Body

Book cover: "Mind Your Body" with brain and person icons. Text highlights a 28-day program for pain and anxiety. Cream background, teal and orange fonts.

This book by Nicole Sachs is a great read for someone who is on a journey to regulate their nervous system! We read this book in our Book Club in my program Road To Remission and we got such amazing feedback about it.

A short description from Amazon: "In Mind Your Body, Sachs teaches readers about Mindbody medicine—which helped her overcome her own debilitating pain and dark prognosis. She explains the essential practice of turning inward, using her revolutionary JournalSpeak method, which has enabled countless people to achieve striking mental, emotional, and physical healing. Mind Your Body takes chronic pain recovery into its next stage, for a new generation of readers who have been so underserved by our medical system."

D-Mannose is a naturally occurring sugar that has been shown by research to support the urinary tract and prevent UTI's.
